How to Set a Free Trial Ending Reminder on Android
A streaming or SaaS free trial is ending soon. You need a heads-up before it converts to paid so you can keep the service or cancel in time. Add the trial end day as a bill due date, turn on due-date bill reminders, then decide at the provider when the alert arrives.
Add the trial end day as a due date
There is no special free-trial mode in the app. You save an ordinary unpaid bill and set the due date to the day the third-party trial ends.
- On Home or Bills, tap +, then New Bill.
- Enter the service name (for example a streaming or SaaS trial), amount if you want the expected conversion price, and a category.
- Set the due date to the day the free trial ends.
- Tap Save. Leave the bill unpaid so due-date reminders can fire.
You type the end date yourself. The app does not auto-detect free trials from Google Play, the App Store, or other apps. Do not use Add subscriptions for this one-off unpaid trial end: that path seeds paid history and is a poor fit until the trial converts to a paid recurring plan.
Remind yourself before the trial ends
Turn on due-date bill reminders
Open Settings, keep Bill reminders on, then set how many days before due you want alerts:
- Days Before Yellow Alert (default 3)
- Days Before Red Alert (default 0, due today)
- One daily Reminder time for the whole app
When an unpaid bill’s due date enters that yellow or red window, the daily check can post Bill Reminder or Bill Due Today. These are Free due-date notifications for unpaid bills. They are not Cancellation reminder chips, and they are not a separate per-trial Free cadence.
Android may ask for notification permission after you save a new bill. Allow notifications if you want the reminders to show. Delivery is not guaranteed at an exact clock minute; WorkManager and battery limits can shift it, often by about ten minutes.
Decide keep or cancel when the reminder arrives
When the heads-up arrives, decide outside the app: keep (pay at the provider’s site or account, then optionally mark the entry paid in-app) or cancel in the service’s own account or site. Mark as paid updates the local status only. It does not cancel the trial, pause billing, or block the first paid charge.

Recurring audit after you convert to paid (optional)
After the trial converts to a paid recurring charge, open Recurring audit from Settings, the Subscriptions area, or the home teaser. Free sees a teaser only. Premium unlocks the full audit tools. There is no separate “Subscription audit checklist” screen or PDF in the app.

You do not need Save as series for a one-off trial end. Series create is Premium and optional later.
