How to enable bill reminder notifications on Android
Rent, internet, and installment due dates only help if the reminder can appear. On Android 13 or newer, allow notification permission for the app, keep Bill reminders on with one daily time, and reopen Android Settings if you tapped Not now earlier.
On Android 13 or newer, allow notification permission for Smart Bill Reminder, and keep Bill reminders on with one local daily time. If permission is off, bill reminder notifications are skipped. Turn on reminders during setup
Install or open the app. On the templates confirm step, choose Turn on reminders when Android asks, then tap Allow in the system dialog. You can choose Not now and continue without granting permission.
- Open Smart Bill Reminder after install.
- On confirm, tap Turn on reminders.
- In the Android dialog, allow notifications for the app.

If permission is still off later
On Bills, use the notifications banner and tap Enable. If Android has not asked yet, that opens the system prompt. If you already denied, it opens the app’s notification settings so you can turn notifications on. Labels in Android Settings vary by device.
If permission stays denied for about two days, the app may show Open settings once. That path also opens Android notification settings for Smart Bill Reminder.
After you save a new first bill, a soft prompt may ask Turn on reminders once. It may not appear if permission is already granted, the prompt already showed, or that path is off.
Keep Bill reminders on and pick one daily time
Open Settings → NOTIFICATIONS. Keep Bill reminders on. Pick one shared local reminder time for unpaid bills. Turning the switch off cancels those scheduled checks. Yellow and red day offsets are a separate setup; this page only needs the master switch and daily time so reminders can fire after permission is allowed.
How delivery works (and what it does not promise)
Bill reminder checks run on your phone. They do not need a network connection for this path. Notifications usually arrive around the chosen local time. Android can delay background work, and if the app is open in the foreground at check time, the reminder is deferred. There is no exact-minute guarantee. In Android Settings, the channel may appear as Bill Reminders.
You do not need a paid unlock to allow notifications or use Bill reminders.
