How to build a monthly bills checklist on Android
Rent, electricity, internet, phone, streaming: list what still needs a row this month, add each bill once, keep Bill reminders on, and mark paid as you go. There is no separate Checklist mode.
There is no separate Checklist mode in Smart Bill Reminder. A monthly bill checklist is your list of household obligations: add each as a bill on Bills, keep Bill reminders on, and mark paid through the month. This page is enumerate-and-cover, not a recurring series tutorial, not the 7/3/1 reminder system, and not a before-due day-offset setup.
List the monthly bills you still need
Write down the fixed monthly items you care about this month. Common ones:
- Rent or mortgage installment
- Electricity, gas, or water when billed monthly
- Internet and phone
- Streaming or other subscriptions you pay monthly
- Other fixed monthly fees (insurance, parking, locker)
On first setup, the app may let you pick 1–3 household starters. That seeds a few unpaid bills; it is not a permanent checklist screen.
Add each bill once
Open Bills, tap New Bill, and fill the form for one checklist item:
- Enter Invoice No. / Title (the name you will recognize).
- Add Amount, type a Category (free text; prior categories appear as suggestions), and set Due Date.
- Tap Save. Repeat for the next monthly bill.
You can add each monthly bill one by one without a paid unlock. Category is required free text (for example utilities or housing), not a locked Housing/Utilities picker.

Optional: Save as series for bills that repeat
If rent or a utility repeats every month, Save as series can create several dated unpaid bills after paid unlock (2–24). You can still add only this month now. Full series how-to: set recurring bills on Android.
Keep Bill reminders on
In Settings, keep Bill reminders on so unpaid due items can notify around your chosen local time. If alerts never appear, check that Android allows notifications for the app. Day-offset and 7/3/1 schedules stay on their own guides.
Cover the month: unpaid, overdue, mark paid
Use the unpaid list on Bills. Overdue items show as overdue; Home counts overdue, this week, and paid. When you pay one for real, mark it paid on the list. That updates the entry on your phone; it does not send a bank payment.

Monthly bill setup sheet
Use this on-page sheet while you add bills. It is a reader aid only: not a downloadable PDF, not a paid unlock, and not an in-app Checklist mode.
- Rent / housing : name: ________ · amount: ________ · due: ________ · added?
- Electricity / gas / water : name: ________ · amount: ________ · due: ________ · added?
- Internet : name: ________ · amount: ________ · due: ________ · added?
- Phone : name: ________ · amount: ________ · due: ________ · added?

Monthly bill setup sheet stays on this page so you can tick coverage as you save each entry.
Quick answers
Is there a Checklist mode in the app?
No. There is no separate Checklist mode. You build month coverage with bill entries on Bills, then use the unpaid list and mark paid as you go.
Do I need a paid unlock to add every monthly bill?
No. You can add each monthly bill one by one without a paid unlock. Save as series for repeating rent or utilities is a separate paid unlock path.
What about bills that repeat every month?
Add this month's entry now. For Save as series later, see the recurring bills guide. For reminder cadence or before-due days, see the 7/3/1 system or before-due reminder guides.
